Everett is the name given to a friend of the fallen humans who entered the Underground. Upon taking the dare seriously, Ev was forced to cover up for his friends. He created a lie that much like a wildfire, got out of control and greatly burned his reputation.

Everett is a human with the soul of bravery, allowing him to continue fighting even in the face of insurmountable odds. However, bravery does not come with awareness, causing Ev to often corner himself whether through his actions or words. This sometimes puts him at odds with his friends, who to this day, keep him around in spite of his attitude.

It should be noted that despite Everett's unshakable will, he does often avoid fights where he has no chance of winning. However, this certainly won't stop him from protecting his ego, overriding his danger sense regardless. Oh well, one day, he'll learn...

Relationships

Rin
Having a sparring partner like Rin does allow Everett to consistently get better at fighting. However, he often gets too caught up in the moment, forcing her to shut him down to get him to stop. Even still, they're two sides of similar coins.
Having an older friend like Molly gives him the advantage of having someone to bail him out when he gets in a sticky a sticky situation. It's not like Molly doesn't mind the attention...
Having someone to "bully" like Ben makes life a lot more fun for Everett. Though, "bully" is used more in the context of teasing Ben for his hesitance to stand up for himself. They don't get along too well.
Everett and Chara don't see eye-to-eye ever since their meeting on the surface. He sees them as a boring wise-ass, knowing full well he'd get his ass kicked if not for Rin's connection to them.
While having never met in canon, I'd like to believe that Everett and Riley would not get along. Ev's "riffing off an insult to continue insulting" would probably trigger something in them, especially if the martial arts tournament is mentioned.

Trivia

  • Everett is part of the boxing club of the school that He and Rin's friend group attend. He's infamously known for his ability to trashtalk his opponents into quitting. Though, his overconfidence just leads him into starting fights, however.
  • Everett has a pair of Kamina glasses with orange lenses. He wears this purely because he thinks it makes him look cool.
  • If Everett was the one given the dare instead of Rin, he'd almost-certainly go for a genocide route, reinforcing the idea that "bravery is not feeling fear" and would respond to monsters with violence to prove that he's strong.
  • If Everett and Undyne were to meet, he'd only reinforce her hatred of humanity and thus would reject each-other's mercy.
  • Everett would more than likely get lost in the CORE, attempting to brute-force his way out rather than actually solve any of the puzzles.
