Ben is the name of a friend of the fallen human who journeyed into the Underground. While having never seen the accounts firsthand, he's responsible for the efforts that ultimately gave monsterkind their freedom.
Ben is a human with the soul of kindness, giving him the ability to make friends even with those who want him dead. However, as a result of his upbringing, he's slightly sheltered with an anxious air, making him frightened at the thought of monsters being real. However, when push comes to shove, Ben ultimately is the one to stand up and show monsters some much-needed kindness.
It should be noted that if pushed into a corner, Ben would certainly aim for a mercy kill, ending their life in order to make a quick death a kindness. Though, kindness should not be mistaken for weakness.

Trivia
- Ben's anxious behavior is as a result of a troubled home-life growing up, which his friends group use as a way to get him away from his family. This also distilled in him a belief that kindness prevents conflict, rather than avoiding conflict outright.
- Ben's outfit is reminiscent of stereotypically-nerdy characters like Peter Parker and Tucker Foley. Though, these design cues would be more fitting on Perseverance of all things.
- If a genocide route were to occur while Ben was the fallen human, he'd act as an "angel of mercy," killing monsters to relieve them of suffering from the overpopulation in the Underground, while also believing that death is a way to "free them."
- Ben would specifically dislike Hotland if he were in the Underground. He dislikes greatly hot enviroments, such as the beach and cramped rooms.
- Ben is left-handed, although he taught himself to be ambidextrous.
