Trish's Moss Clinic

One of the sub-homes of the island, Trish's moss clinic is a home that may not be quintessential to the main story, but may provide some much-needed context for players looking beneath the surface... Or rather, it may answer your questions with even more questions...

Design

Trish's Moss Clinic is designed like a traditional clinic, featuring an abundance of wooden furniture that also connects to her history with the wilds. At the same time however, this inherit tie to nature contrasts with modern technology, as seen in the ABD, crane game, and big festive tree specifically in the reception area, and deep fryer in the kitchen. An interesting thing to note is the rugs. It's a little egotistical to have a rug of one's own face in their home, is it not?

It should be noted however, that the traditional theme doesn't necessarily apply to every home, with the cleansing room as a prominent example. Being made of mostly moss-related furniture, the back room calls to a distant past, one where Trish and the willing participant willingly lived in bissful ignorance.

The most interesting room is the basement, being an ancient Greek-style basement with an assortment of unlabeled vases scattered about the room. One struggles to know why she has so many, if not for an obsessive hobby, possibly relating to pottery of some kind.

History

Trish's home was originally created to give the town of Lunarvale a mystical aspect of it, even if the final product doesn't directly showcase this aspect. Not only that, but to make the town feel more lived in as, at the time, only Marianne, Hilda, and Brad's homes were the only ones created at the time.

Notably, Trish's home was originally Greek-inspired, as evidenced by the basement. This was later changed to the modern design so she'd ironically feel less out of place as the only other magical creature aside from ðð.

Trivia

  • The My Melody rug is intended to be a stand-in for a rug featuring Trish's face due to being unable to make one directly. This fits in with Trish's characterization, being a self-absorbed person who's only interests are making money and being the center of attention.
  • The moss seen in the back room is intended to be red, but is instead green in the actual dream island due to items like the Glowing-moss rug, Glowing-moss pond, and Glowing-moss flooring not having red variants. As these are major components of the room, it's easier to explain the mistakes than attempting to create solutions to minor problems.
  • Trish's characterization being a highly self-absorbed and materialistic individual is lightly showcased in the island, with her owning items like the Royal crown, Gold HHA Trophy, Big festive tree (in gold), among others. Honestly, the only reason why the bedroom isn't gold is because it looked too tacky, something that Trish admittedly hates more than losing money.
  • The vases in Trish's basement are actually urns, containing the ashes of villagers who met their untimely demise during their residence in Lunarvale. It's only natural to go numb after so many accidents.
  • Trish has a Wooden storage shed to the right of her home that is normally inaccessible through normal means. A large person could easily fit inside...
