Caroline is the name of the pull-string investigator originally created by Emond after Seline's initial disappearance. Though lacking the traditional ability to speak, their mannerisms make her as loud as any other resident.

Caroline is a doll that was originally created and given life by Emond for the expressed purpose of finding Seline who had seemingly gone missing. Nowadays though, it's responsible for managing the records of the Wonderland. Character profiles, preferences, and statuses, among others. She doesn't seem to mind it, having not much else to do otherwise.

Caroline can typically be found in its office, tasking the Agent with helping them investigate mysteries around the Wonderland. Things like locations of lost items, void zones and new locations, among others. Just don't pull her pull-string. You won't live to see the consequences!

Relationships

	Emond is Caroline's creator, for that she holds a lot of respect. At the same time however, Caroline holds reservations over the... flawed methods, that Emond uses to invite Entities into the Wonderland. Still, her opinion is generally positive.
	Meree and Caroline are close friends, being sentient dolls that were given life by an external force. Despite Meree's complete inability to speak, using puppeteered sign language, they have a unique bond nonetheless.
	Big Red likes to torment Caroline whenever they cross paths, whether by pulling her pull-string or tearing a seam. Even despite Emond's threats, Red still persists on making Caroline miserable.
	Mars and Caroline are acquaintances at best, typically only playing cards or speaking when it's required. Mars is indifferent to Caroline's profession, but dislikes when they take games like Blackjack and Tycoon too seriously.

Trivia

• Caroline's speech is often limited to when she or someone else can pull her pullstring. However, as a result of her voicebox being connected directly to her mind, having it pulled at the wrong moment can lead to things being blurted out by accident.
• Being a sentient doll, Caroline physically doesn't feel hungry. She can't eat anyways, with her mouth being sown shut, that is.
• The reason why Caroline's mouth is sown shut is due to an incident where Caroline accidentally revealed Emond's crush to Seline. This is also why Caroline has a pullstring.
• Despite being a plush toy, Caroline was gifted with some amount of 'toon force,' an ability to manipulate/break reality for comedic purposes. Caroline can get angry and a punch a hole into another dimension, get beheaded and be completely fine, be torn apart and put herself back together, etcetera etcetera. It really depends on how funny it is.
Doubling as a lawyer and private investigator, Caroline can practice law in 66 of the 80 US States. The states she is not allowed to prosecute in is:
• New Mexico: MIB barred Caroline from doing the exam for her own safety.
• New York: Prosecuted the governor and got banned from entering as a result.
• California: State does not recognize Caroline as a living person.
• Absaroka: Everyone freaks out seeing Caroline so she quit the bar exam so people wouldn't be biased against her/her clients.
• Cascadia: State refuses to recognize Emond's Wonderland as an actual location.
• Jefferson: Caroline could not understand Jefferson's bar exam and quit as a result.
• Lincoln: Axe-wielding maniac tried to kill Caroline during the bar exam so she fled the state.
• Superior: State refuses to recognize Emond's Wonderland as an actual location.
• Long Island: Someone pulled Caroline's pullstring during the exam, said person got punched in the face, and Caroline got barred for assault.
• North Montana: State refuses to recognize Emond's Wonderland as an actual location.
• East Jersey: Religious sentiments (anti-demon activists/religious fanatics) painted Caroline as a puppet of Satan and was forced to withdraw for her own safety.
• South Florida: Floridaman lit Caroline on fire after seeing her and missed her exam date as a result.
• Keystone: Got offended at the sight of square pizza and refuses to (willingly) enter the state as a result.
• Greenland: Application was rejected several times for varyingly-nonsensical reasons, like "does not look human" or "an object given sentience is no different than an AI."

Miscellaneous

Caroline's name is based off Niel Gaiman's Coraline, while her design is based off the doll seen in the theatrical adaptation by Henry Selick. Throughout the movie, Coraline is often mistakenly referred to as "Caroline." The reverse is true here. Her name is Caroline, but everyone calls her Coraline because Caroline is "too normal of a name" for someone like Emond.

Caroline's original name was known as "Sweet Pea." This was because it was a pun, being that her original role was "Wonderland's P.I." Pea, P. It's a vocal pun- Ah nevermind, you wouldn't get it.
